Data Center Services Technician

Job overview

The Data Center Services Technician role is onsite in Athens, OH, and pays $17–$28 per hour. The technician supports installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise data center environments. The role installs and validates servers, network devices, storage, power, and cabling to support safe and accurate data center operations. It maintains installation records, performs standard operational changes, and escalates design, operational, and safety concerns to senior technicians or site leadership.

What you'll do

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure
• install, route, terminate, label, and dress copper and fiber cabling
• install rack power distribution units and verify power and management connectivity
• provision equipment and connect out-of-band management
• perform continuity and fiber testing and equipment turn-up
• complete moves, adds, changes, disconnects, and field-replaceable unit replacements
• maintain installation records, test results, inventory, and as-built documentation
• escalate design, operational, and safety issues.
