The Assistant Deli Manager is an onsite role based in Johns Island, SC. Pay starts at $19/hour for this position, which supports the deli department at Lowes Foods. This role exists to gain the skills, knowledge, and expertise to be considered a successful Deli Manager, supervising and ensuring that guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained.

What you'll do

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Performs PA announcements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
