This role supports the McLane Company, Inc. supply chain and distribution team, which has served the restaurant and retail industries for over 130 years. The purpose of this role is to provide hands-on training and coaching to prepare individuals for a full Driver position. Trainees will learn to operate tractor-trailers safely, manage delivery documentation, and assist in the efficient, secure delivery of products to customer premises.

What you'll do

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer
• operate truck in compliance with DOT regulations
• perform pre/post-trip equipment inspections
• use Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH) for documentation
• assist in unloading trailers
• provide customer service for deliveries and returns.
