Job overview

The Senior AI-Native Designer and Builder, Design System role is hybrid, three days per week at Zscaler’s Santa Clara headquarters. The annual salary range is $134,000–$167,500. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Design System in Product Management and supports the evolution of Zscaler’s product design ecosystem. The designer builds reusable, scalable components and interaction patterns and helps establish consistent visual, interaction, and structural standards across product surfaces. Through close work with Design, Engineering, and product teams, the role advances design-system adoption and uses AI-enabled tools to accelerate prototyping, documentation, and implementation.

What you'll do

• Design, architect, and refine reusable components and interaction patterns
• write component specifications, usage guidelines, and standards
• use AI-powered design and developer tools to build prototypes and validate feasibility
• partner with UI engineers on responsive, accessible components
• and support product design teams adopting the design system.
