The Youth Mentor / Behavioral Health Specialist role is onsite at Project Patch’s residential program in Garden Valley, ID. Compensation is $40,000–$50,000 per year, including scheduled overtime. The nonprofit residential treatment center serves adolescents ages 12–17 and describes its mission as restoring hope and direction through Christ-centered residential care. Youth Mentors provide supervision, behavioral support, mentorship, and positive role modeling in a structured therapeutic environment. They help adolescents build stability, coping skills, and accountability while collaborating with clinicians and supporting daily programming and residential routines.

What you'll do

  • Maintain supervision to support youth safety
  • implement behavior support plans and individualized care strategies
  • respond to behavioral crises using approved de-escalation techniques
  • complete documentation, incident reports, and shift notes
  • administer medications after required training and according to policy
  • collaborate with clinicians and supervisors
  • engage youth in recreation, education, and therapeutic activities
  • model healthy relationships and boundaries
  • assist with group activities and daily residential operations
  • participate in staff meetings, training, and supervision.
