The Certified Medical Assistant / Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) role is an onsite position based in Fredericksburg, VA, supporting mobile visits to patients’ homes. Pay is $19–$25 per hour. The role supports The Children's Clinic of Fredericksburg’s mobile urgent care team, providing pediatric care in patients’ homes. The position provides clinical support under a licensed provider, helping deliver lower-acuity care to children and families through patient intake, documentation, testing, and assistance with exams and minor procedures.

What you'll do

• Prepare the mobile unit
• obtain and document vital signs and patient history
• perform intake assessments within training
• assist providers with exams and minor procedures
• conduct point-of-care tests
• support medication preparation and administration as directed
• educate patients and caregivers as instructed
• maintain vehicle cleanliness, infection control, supplies, equipment readiness, and HIPAA compliance
• follow biohazard procedures
• report safety concerns
• communicate with the supervising provider and team.
