Life Skills Coach

Job overview

The Life Skills Coach role is community-based and onsite with clients in Pacific Grove, CA, including work in their homes and communities. Pay is $20 per hour. The role supports Caliber Therapies’ Life Skills & Community Support program. Through one-on-one coaching, mentoring, and hands-on support, the coach helps clients work toward personal goals, build practical daily living and social skills, and participate meaningfully in their communities. The position promotes independence and confidence while providing the least restrictive support necessary.

What you'll do

• Build professional relationships with clients and support systems
• help clients develop independent living skills
• support community outings and recreation
• teach and reinforce communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and social skills
• assist clients with person-centered goals
• encourage healthy habits and emotional wellness
• support volunteer, educational, employment-readiness, and community activities when appropriate
• document services
• communicate with caregivers, case managers, and the team
• follow safety, confidentiality, and reporting policies.
