The Mental Health Therapist – FIT Team position is onsite in Cherokee, NC, with services provided at community locations as assigned. Compensation is not specified. The role supports Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority’s behavioral health services for eligible Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indian and Indian Health Service patients. The therapist provides clinical assessment, treatment planning, individual, group, and family therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and referrals to appropriate levels of care. The role collaborates with treatment teams and community agencies, documents care, and participates in an on-call service rotation; some travel, including infrequent overnight travel, may be required.

What you'll do

• Provide clinical assessments, treatment planning, individual, group, and family therapy, and case management
• conduct walk-in triage and crisis intervention
• coordinate referrals and discharge planning
• collaborate with medical staff and community agencies
• document treatment and significant events
• participate in clinical team meetings and the on-call service rotation.
