What you'll do

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout specifications
• lay out, measure, cut, fit, and align steel plates, stiffeners, bulkheads, and vessel components
• prepare joints and position materials for welding
• use cutting torches, grinders, and fitting tools safely
• verify dimensions and alignment
• collaborate with welders and other trades under shipyard safety guidelines.
