Substance Abuse Counselor (CAC II)

Job overview

The Substance Abuse Counselor (CAC II) role is onsite in Washington, DC, at one or both CSOSA locations. Pay is $60 per hour for one-hour assessments and $75 per hour for two-hour group counseling sessions. The counselor provides services under Interdynamics’ contract with the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency. The counselor supports people experiencing substance use disorders through assessments, treatment planning, and group counseling. The work is intended to guide clients through recovery and support their overall well-being.

What you'll do

• Conduct one-hour substance abuse assessments
• facilitate two-hour group counseling sessions for approximately 2–15 participants
• provide support and guidance related to substance use and recovery
• develop treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
