What you'll do

• Answer and route incoming calls
• operate telephone, paging, radio, alarm, and emergency-notification systems
• process emergency calls and alerts according to procedures
• assist distressed or confused callers
• maintain call logs, directories, and electronic records
• monitor equipment and report malfunctions
• protect sensitive information and follow HIPAA, privacy, security, safety, and VA requirements
• remain at the workstation until relieved.
