Woodworking Machine Operator

The Woodworking Machine Operator role is a full-time onsite position in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Compensation is not specified. Orion RED manufactures trade show exhibits and retail store fixtures, and this role supports production of wood products and components. The operator sets up, runs, and maintains manual and computer-controlled woodworking machinery, monitors production, and inspects finished parts against specifications. The work contributes to accurate, safe, and efficient production of furniture, cabinets, and components.

What you'll do

• Configure and operate manual and CNC woodworking machines
• monitor machine operation and adjust controls as needed
• inspect finished workpieces with calipers, rules, and gauges
• select, examine, and secure wood stock
• clean, lubricate, and perform routine equipment maintenance
• follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment.
