The Speech-Language Pathologist — Homecare and Outpatient, Suffolk County role is hybrid, combining outpatient clinics in Centre Moriches and Hampton Bays with homecare in the area. Compensation is $80,000–$90,000 annually, plus incentives. Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy’s Speech Department is growing and is building its outpatient clinics following a partnership with NYU Langone. The speech-language pathologist evaluates patients and develops treatment plans for a caseload that may include aphasia, dysphagia, pediatric and school-age needs, voice, cognitive communication disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication. The role provides care consistent with physician plans and professional standards and instructs families and caregivers in therapy techniques.

What you'll do

• Evaluate patients’ need for speech therapy and develop treatment plans
• provide care based on physician care plans, agency policy, and professional standards
• instruct family members, home health aides, and other caregivers in speech therapy techniques and home exercise programs. Requires New York speech-language pathology licensure and CCC-SLP, plus live-course First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications.
