Class A CDL Driver — Food Bank Distribution

Job overview

The Class A CDL Driver role is full-time and onsite in Boston, Massachusetts, with local day travel throughout Eastern Massachusetts. Compensation is $31.30 per hour. The Greater Boston Food Bank distributes food through its agency network across the Eastern Massachusetts community. The driver safely delivers and picks up products, loads and unloads vehicles, maintains required records and vehicle condition, and follows food-safety and transportation requirements. The role supports the food bank’s distribution operations and service to its agency network.

What you'll do

• Operate Class A or B vehicles and deliver products safely and on time
• load and unload vehicles
• maintain vehicle compliance and report mechanical issues
• document travel, work time, and breaks
• maintain vehicle records and cleanliness
• operate an electric pallet jack and other material-handling equipment
• verify inventory and expiration dates
• follow DOT, FMCSA, state, Serv-Safe, Feeding America, and AIB requirements.
