Medical Biller

Job overview

The Medical Biller role is onsite in Babylon, NY, with pay of $25 per hour. South Shore Speech supports speech therapy and related services, including Early Intervention and preschool special education programs. The biller manages payer verification, authorizations, claims, payment reconciliation, and patient billing. The role also coordinates with clinicians, families, schools, and service coordinators to support accurate coverage, documentation, and reimbursement for services.

What you'll do

• Verify patient eligibility and coverage
• submit and track pre-authorizations
• prepare and submit insurance and program claims
• follow up on unpaid or denied claims and submit corrections or appeals
• reconcile payments and post EOB and ERA data
• handle patient balances and statements
• maintain claim and eligibility documentation
• generate billing reports
• coordinate with clinicians, families, schools, and external coordinators.
