The EMT works with paramedics and other EMTs to assess patients, provide pre-hospital care, and transport them to appropriate medical facilities. Accurate treatment documentation, communication with dispatch and receiving facilities, and readiness of ambulance equipment support safe and coordinated care.

What you'll do

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls
• assess illness or injury and obtain medical history
• provide pre-hospital care such as oxygen, CPR, airway management, bandaging, and fracture immobilization within established protocols
• communicate with dispatch
• drive the ambulance and transport patients
• document illness and treatment
• check equipment and replenish supplies
• maintain a clean and safe work environment.
