Labor and Employment Associate

The position supports a growing Northern California Employer Services practice at a well-established California law firm. The associate represents employers in litigation and advises on workplace matters, helping clients manage disputes, compliance, and risk. The role also contributes to the team’s litigation, counseling, and labor work as applicable.

What you'll do

• Represent employers in state and federal employment litigation
• handle discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage-and-hour, and related workplace disputes
• manage discovery, legal research, motion practice, case strategy, and trial preparation
• take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings
• advise employers on workplace issues, policies, compliance, and risk management
• work directly with clients and collaborate with partners and the Labor & Employment team
• assist with workplace investigations and administrative agency matters as appropriate
• support traditional labor and collective bargaining matters when applicable.

Why this role
