Purchasing Specialist

The Purchasing Specialist is an onsite, full-time role in Buffalo, NY, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Pay is $22–$25 per hour for a contingent four-month hire. The specialist processes purchase requests and invoices, coordinates with vendors and agency staff, and helps ensure purchasing follows established policies. The work supports the organization’s programs and sites through purchasing, service coordination, and related operational assistance.

What you'll do

• Review purchase requests and guide requestors on vendors, approvals, and cost allocation
• review and approve invoices for Finance processing
• process purchasing help-desk tickets
• maintain purchasing accounts and user access
• coordinate orders, pricing, deliveries, service calls, and follow-up
• obtain vendor quotes
• escalate purchasing, contractual, financial, or compliance matters
• assist with relocations, equipment deliveries, installations, and inventory activities.
