Maintenance Technician, RNDC

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Baton Rouge, LA, and pays $20–$23 per hour. The position supports property maintenance for Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana. The role performs preventive and corrective maintenance to keep the property and its building systems in working order. By responding to work orders, inspecting facilities, and assisting with turnover and grounds tasks when requested, the technician supports residents, staff, and vendors.

What you'll do

• Perform service requests according to work orders
• assist with apartment turnover
• inspect grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment
• help maintain tool, equipment, and supply inventory
• perform grounds maintenance such as mowing, fertilizing, and watering when requested
• assist with supervisor-assigned projects
• maintain relationships with staff, residents, and vendors.

Why this role

General maintenance experience with heating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing equipment, and carpentry is sought. High school diploma or equivalent, current driver’s license, vehicle inspection decal, Louisiana vehicle insurance and registration, and satisfactory motor vehicle and criminal history checks are required. May be required to live onsite.
