The Principal Engineer — Cybersecurity role is onsite in Washington, DC, with a salary range of $50,000–$175,000 per year. A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking an engineer to support cybersecurity architecture for FAA National Airspace System enterprise systems and services. The engineer provides senior technical expertise to develop, review, and validate security architectures and designs. The role helps incorporate security controls, Zero Trust principles, and FAA standards into system requirements and architectures, while advising program leadership on risks and technical trade-offs.

What you'll do

• Develop, review, and validate cybersecurity architectures, designs, and interface specifications
• incorporate cybersecurity controls, Zero Trust principles, and FAA standards into requirements and engineering baselines
• assess architectures for security gaps
• evaluate technologies and recommend mitigations aligned with FAA mission needs and NIST frameworks
• advise program leadership on cybersecurity risks and architecture trade-offs
• integrate security standards and services into legacy and emerging NAS systems.
