The Youth Care Specialist — AMIkids Aspen role is onsite in Columbia, SC. Compensation is not specified. The position supports AMIkids Aspen and its youth care program. The role exists to safely supervise youth and help them develop social, self-help, academic, and living skills. Through guidance, coaching, positive role modeling, and coordination with program staff, the specialist supports young people’s learning, growth, and progress toward individualized goals.

What you'll do

• Safely supervise youth
• teach and coach behavior, social, self-help, academic, personal responsibility, and community living skills
• serve as a positive role model and advisor
• prevent and intervene in incidents using authorized training methods
• complete required reports and shift documentation
• communicate with supervisors and team members
• participate in shift debriefs, activities, and required training
• administer first aid and CPR in emergencies
• transport students as needed.
