Welding Inspector, Electromechanical

The Welding Inspector, Electromechanical role is onsite in Jefferson City, MO, for 5 days per week and 4–8 hours per day, on a 3–6 month assignment. Pay is $35–$40 per hour. SQA Services provides supplier quality services, inspections, audits, and engineering support to manufacturers. The inspector evaluates welded components and assemblies against applicable standards, drawings, and specifications. The role documents findings, supports corrective actions, and helps ensure fabrication quality and compliance.

What you'll do

• Perform visual inspection of structural welds using AWS D1.1 acceptance criteria
• evaluate workmanship and weld profiles
• review WPS documentation, welder qualifications, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols
• conduct pre-weld, in-process, and final inspections
• document findings and nonconformances
• support corrective-action investigations
• and assist with supplier inspections and audits when required.
