What you'll do

• Greet and assist patients in person and by phone
• schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
• register patients and maintain demographic information
• verify insurance, benefits, referrals, and authorizations
• collect patient payments
• explain financial responsibilities and payment options
• obtain consent and privacy documentation
• coordinate with care providers and insurers
• follow HIPAA and organizational policies
• and use EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
