Job overview

The HVAC Estimator II role is onsite in Charlotte, NC, with compensation of $65,000–$86,000 annually. AIR Carolinas provides HVAC equipment, controls, service, and aftermarket solutions across North and South Carolina as part of AIR Control Concepts. The estimator develops project cost estimates and competitive bids by analyzing plans and specifications, pricing labor and materials, and coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, project managers, and sales teams. The work supports accurate proposals and customer-focused HVAC project solutions.

What you'll do

• Perform detailed take-offs and labor cost analysis for HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and controls
• obtain material and labor pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• use HVAC estimating software to prepare proposals
• analyze blueprints, specifications, and bid documents
• support bid proposals and cost summaries
• attend pre-bid site visits
• conduct value engineering reviews
• collaborate on proposals and assist with bid presentations and negotiations as needed.
