Fire Sprinkler Inspector

Job overview

The Fire Sprinkler Inspector role is onsite in Columbia, VA. Pay is $40–$50 per hour. The position supports a growing fire-protection company by inspecting and testing commercial fire sprinkler systems for compliance with applicable NFPA standards and local requirements. The inspector tests wet and dry systems and related components, documents deficiencies and code concerns, and communicates findings and recommended repairs to customers. The role also includes maintaining assigned equipment and a company vehicle and participating in an on-call rotation as needed.

What you'll do

• Perform scheduled inspections and testing in accordance with NFPA 25
• inspect wet and dry sprinkler systems
• conduct water-flow and main-drain tests and fire-pump testing when applicable
• document deficiencies and inspection results
• communicate findings and recommended repairs
• maintain equipment and company vehicle
• participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
