The Schoolwide Assistant Teacher role is onsite in Schenectady, NY, with Monday–Friday availability during the center’s operating hours. Compensation is $17–$22 per hour. Magical Beginnings provides early childhood education in a nurturing learning environment. The assistant teacher provides flexible classroom coverage for infant, toddler, and preschool programs. By supporting classroom routines, supervision, and licensing requirements, the role helps teachers maintain safe, engaging learning environments and consistent center operations.

What you'll do

• Assist lead teachers with classroom activities, lesson plans, and age-appropriate curriculum
• support daily routines
• supervise children and maintain required ratios
• clean, organize, and sanitize classrooms
• assist with setup and meals
• float between classrooms to support coverage
• build relationships with children, families, and educators
• support licensing and inspection readiness.
