The First Cook / Relief Chef role is an onsite, full-time rotational position in Cascade, ID; compensation is not specified. The role is part of ATCO Frontec’s Camp Services team, which supports workforce lodging and camp operations. The role helps ensure meals are prepared and served to a high standard while supporting the Chef and food service operations. It contributes to reliable camp dining by assisting with food preparation, inventory, ordering, service-area stocking, staff direction, sanitation, and kitchen safety; coverage of the Chef’s position may be provided during the Chef’s rotation absence.

What you'll do

• Assist the Chef with food service management, food preparation, inventory control, and supply ordering
• oversee stocking of food serving areas
• train and direct subordinate food service workers
• supervise sanitation and safety practices
• conduct safety toolboxes as required
• assign duties and work areas
• inspect facilities and equipment, kitchen logs, and cleaning schedules
• clean kitchen equipment and utensils.
