Concrete Paving Superintendent

The superintendent oversees concrete paving operations for roadway, highway, airfield, or large-slab projects. It monitors production and concrete quality while guiding crew members and communicating progress and challenges to senior management.

What you'll do

• Supervise daily concrete paving operations, including labor, equipment, and materials
• coordinate with project managers, engineers, survey/GPS technicians, subcontractors, and inspectors
• plan and sequence paving activities
• monitor concrete quality and specification compliance
• oversee slipform, stringline/stringless, and finishing operations
• conduct site inspections and toolbox talks
• review drawings and mix designs
• track production and equipment metrics
• coordinate concrete deliveries
• oversee curing, joint layout, saw-cut timing, and finishing
• train and mentor crew members
• maintain work, material, and labor records.
