Senior Traffic Engineer

The Senior Traffic Engineer role is hybrid, based at BETA Group’s preferred Lincoln, RI office, with the option to request remote work up to two days per week. The salary range is $106,000–$160,000 per year. BETA is an employee-owned engineering consultancy working across transportation and other infrastructure disciplines. The engineer leads and oversees traffic and transportation design and project delivery, applying traffic analysis and signal-system expertise while mentoring staff, managing client relationships, and contributing to project pursuits and business development.

What you'll do

• Manage and oversee traffic and transportation project design
• perform traffic analysis, signal design, modeling and simulation, intersection geometrics, complete streets, and temporary traffic controls
• lead concurrent technical designs
• review and prepare contract documents
• communicate with clients
• mentor junior staff
• attend and present at client and public meetings
• manage project pursuits and business development
• collaborate across disciplines and offices.
