The Street Maintenance Crewleader role is onsite in Odessa, TX. Compensation is $21.75–$30.96 per hour. The position is in the City of Odessa Public Works Department’s Street division. The crewleader coordinates and leads street maintenance crews, assigns work, and ensures vehicles, equipment, and tools are used safely and according to procedures. The role also trains crew members, monitors work projects, prepares activity reports, and responds to emergency callouts related to severe weather, accidents, and other factors.

What you'll do

• Lead crews performing street maintenance
• identify equipment and materials needed for projects
• coordinate and schedule staff, vehicles, and equipment
• assign tasks and review completed work
• train crew members in procedures, techniques, equipment use, and safety
• prepare daily activity and usage reports
• oversee work zones and equipment safety
• respond to emergency callouts and oversee crew activity
• operate trucks and heavy equipment
• coordinate inspections and maintenance
• perform Street Maintenance Worker duties as needed
• follow safety precautions and report unsafe conditions.
