What you'll do

• Operate cranes to load and unload barges, trucks, and storage areas
• perform and oversee lifts and barge activities
• inspect cranes, rigging, and lifting equipment
• select appropriate rigging
• direct cargo handlers and equipment operators
• assign daily work
• ensure safe lifting procedures and communications
• operate other terminal equipment as needed
• lead briefings and training
• report equipment issues and unsafe conditions
• assist with planning, staffing, and scheduling.
