The Primary Therapist I — Intensive Outpatient Program, Part-Time role is onsite in Arlington, VA. Pay is $36–$40.87 per hour. Mission Connection’s Intensive Outpatient Program provides evidence-based mental health support, including in-person and telehealth services. The therapist assesses clients, establishes treatment goals, and guides care in coordination with clinical leadership. Through individual, group, and family therapy, documentation, and crisis support, the role contributes to client treatment and the program’s clinical operations.

What you'll do

• Conduct clinical evaluations, biopsychosocial assessments, diagnoses, and interpretive summaries
• prepare person-centered treatment plans and provide case management, consultation, education, and referrals
• provide therapeutic interventions and crisis counseling to individuals, groups, and families
• facilitate individual and group therapy
• assess client and family functioning and identify support needs
• maintain electronic health records
• prepare insurance authorization and continued-stay reports
• provide emergency crisis services during work hours and after hours as assigned
• attend meetings, supervision, and training
• follow clinical, ethical, and legal standards.

Why this role

Part-time schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m. The posting requires a relevant master’s degree or higher, an eligible associate-level behavioral health credential, active Board of Behavioral Sciences registration, CPR/First Aid certification, and current TB clearance. Some weekend on-call and after-hours crisis assistance may be required.
