Advocate – Outreach

Job overview

The Advocate – Outreach role is onsite in Troy, NY, with work in the community, shelter settings, or permanent housing depending on program assignment. Compensation is $17 per hour. Joseph’s House & Shelter provides person-centered services grounded in Housing First and Harm Reduction to support people experiencing homelessness or housing instability. The advocate supports participants’ goals and housing stability through assessments, referrals, case management, crisis intervention, outreach, and follow-up. The role also coordinates with community partners, maintains documentation, and participates in rotating on-call coverage.
