Remote Access Counselor, Specialized Services

Job overview

The Access Counselor role is remote, based out of Rosecrance’s Mulford Office in Rockford, IL, and requires Illinois residency. Starting pay is $27.37 per hour. Rosecrance provides behavioral health services focused on substance use and mental health recovery. The counselor coordinates timely access to care while building relationships with referral sources and supporting service growth. The role connects clients and professional sources with intake and care coordination, working with internal teams and community partners to address needs and expand access.

What you'll do

• Serve as primary contact for professional referral sources and clients
• support intake
• assess client needs and eligibility
• coordinate services
• collaborate with clinical and administrative teams
• maintain records and regulatory compliance
• build relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and agencies
• work with business development to identify growth opportunities
• represent Rosecrance at community events and meetings
• spend at least one day per week in the community
• act as a community liaison.

Why this role

Schedule is Monday–Thursday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and Friday 11:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m.; some evening and weekend availability is included in the responsibilities. Illinois behavioral health credentials and a bachelor’s degree are required.
