The Sous Chef, Dining Services role is an onsite, full-time position in Asheville, NC, paying $26.00–$28.00 per hour. Givens Communities works to expand the possibilities of aging through its communities, services, and outreach; this role supports the Givens Estates Dining Services team. The Sous Chef supports daily culinary operations across multiple dining venues, helping ensure residents, guests, and team members receive safe, consistent meals that meet established recipes, production standards, and hospitality expectations. The role also contributes to food quality, sanitation, and culinary team development.

What you'll do

• Support the Campus Executive Chef in leading daily culinary operations across multiple dining venues
• oversee kitchen operations during assigned shifts for food quality, consistency, efficiency, and service
• participate in menu planning, recipe development, production forecasting, and quality assurance
• assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and developing culinary team members
• support resident dining, special events, holiday meals, and catering.
