The Aircraft Mechanic II – Ordnance CDI Team Lead position is onsite at NAS JRB Fort Worth in Fort Worth, TX. Compensation is not specified. Employment is contingent upon contract award and successful transition of contract performance. The role supports organizational-level maintenance operations for VMFA-112 and U.S. Navy aviation. The role performs and supervises maintenance on F/A-18 aircraft and ordnance systems while serving as the Ordnance Collateral Duty Inspector. It provides technical leadership and quality oversight so maintenance is documented, inspected, and completed safely in support of flight operations and mission readiness.

What you'll do

• Lead and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled organizational-level F/A-18 maintenance
• guide and mentor aircraft mechanics
• troubleshoot, inspect, repair, modify, install, remove, and test aircraft mechanical and ordnance systems
• conduct inspections, corrosion control, servicing, modifications, and operational checks
• interpret technical publications and drawings
• maintain accurate maintenance records
• coordinate with Production Control, Quality Assurance, engineering, and Government representatives
• perform Ordnance CDI inspections and verify maintenance compliance before return to service.
