The Registered Nurse (RN), OB/GYN Outpatient Clinic role is onsite at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, VA. Pay is $44–$46 per hour. The nurse supports scheduled outpatient visits, procedures, and follow-ups in prenatal care, family planning, contraception, and gynecological health. The RN contributes to clinic care by assessing patients, assisting providers, educating patients, and coordinating communication and follow-up. The role supports patient flow and continuity of care while maintaining accurate records and following clinic safety and infection-control procedures.

What you'll do

• Conduct initial assessments, obtain vital signs, and document patient histories
• prepare patients for exams and assist providers with procedures such as Pap smears and biopsies
• provide prenatal and gynecological education and counseling
• administer prescribed medications and injections
• collect and document lab samples
• follow up on test results and communicate care plans
• schedule appointments and support patient flow
• maintain electronic health records and comply with clinic policies, infection control, and safety procedures
• float to other OB/GYN clinics when necessary.

Why this role

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 0700–1800; no weekends or holidays required.
