The stated base compensation range is $109,000–$136,000 per year. The role supports Ursa Major’s solid rocket motor development, qualification, and production acceptance testing. The engineer owns test infrastructure across its lifecycle and leads test campaigns, enabling safe, repeatable propulsion testing and decision-ready data for defense applications.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, commission, and sustain propulsion test stands and infrastructure
• integrate fluid-mechanical systems, ground support equipment, electrical and controls systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition
• lead static-fire campaigns, system validation, test operations, and anomaly resolution
• own test-range safety analysis and risk assessments
• partner with EHS on safety planning and compliance
• collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, operations, facilities, and program teams.
