Good Samaritan is a not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of service to seniors. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents, collaborating with residents, families, and inter-disciplinary colleagues. This role involves coordinating care, resident assessment, and education to ensure comprehensive resident well-being.
What you'll do
- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents.
- Collaborate with resident, family, and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise.
- Provide age and population specific care.
- Care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Coordinate care, perform resident assessments, and provide resident education.
- May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to assistive personnel.
- Function within the scopes and standards of nursing practice.
What we're looking for
- Education
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
- Experience
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
