Vice President, Space Systems Software

The Vice President, Space Systems Software role is onsite in Littleton, CO, with a base pay range of $210,000–$300,000 per year. Rocket Lab’s Space Systems team builds spacecraft, payloads, and components for space missions. This executive leads the satellite flight and ground software organization, setting and executing strategy while overseeing growth, product development, program delivery, team leadership, operations, and financial performance. The role supports revenue growth and delivery of software solutions aligned with customer needs and company goals.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute the business unit’s strategic plan
• identify market trends and customer needs
• drive revenue growth and business development
• oversee satellite flight and ground software product development and delivery
• guide product roadmaps
• improve operational efficiency and monitor KPIs
• build and mentor cross-functional teams
• own P&L, budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting.
