Groundskeeper

The Groundskeeper role is onsite in Danville, VA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pay is $17–$20 per hour. Roman Eagle is a not-for-profit nursing facility with a long history of service to the Danville–Pittsylvania County area. The role exists to keep the facility’s outdoor areas safe, clean, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff. Routine landscaping and maintenance support the comfort and safety of the facility community and contribute to the appearance of the grounds.

What you'll do

• Mow, trim, plant, fertilize, and water grounds
• clean and sweep sidewalks, driveways, and outdoor areas
• shovel snow and apply chemicals or sand to walkways as weather requires
• safely operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment
• complete work orders and projects
• remove debris
• identify hazards and report safety or maintenance concerns
• interact professionally with staff, patients, and visitors.
