The General Liability Attorney – Civil Litigation role is hybrid in Jacksonville, FL, with the ability to work from the Jacksonville office as needed. Base salary is $90,000–$160,000 per year, with bonus opportunities and additional compensation for billable hours above the required threshold. The role supports a growing insurance defense practice at a collaborative civil litigation firm. The attorney manages general liability and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution, working with partners and clients on case strategy while developing litigation skills through hands-on case ownership and mentorship.

What you'll do

• Manage general liability and insurance defense cases
• draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, memoranda, and case reports
• conduct and defend depositions
• attend hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
• assist with trial preparation and trials
• conduct legal research
• communicate with clients, carriers, counsel, and experts
• maintain case files and deadlines
• meet billable-hour expectations.
