The Medical Assistant – Multilingual Candidates Preferred role is onsite in Tampa, FL, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pay is $20–$22 per hour. POD Health combines technology and personalized care through telehealth, remote patient monitoring, chronic care management, and community health initiatives. The assistant supports nurses and nurse practitioners by monitoring patient metrics, documenting records, responding to patient inquiries, and coordinating follow-up care. The role helps maintain continuity across remote patient monitoring and chronic care services.

What you'll do

• Monitor patient health metrics and dashboard alerts
• communicate with patients and care teams
• remind patients to take measurements and document results
• escalate calls to nurses or nurse practitioners
• maintain medical histories and records in the EMR
• schedule virtual appointments
• conduct patient calls
• enter data in Salesforce
• verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations
• follow HIPAA and other healthcare requirements.
