Job overview
The Pump Mechanic role is onsite in Axis, AL, with pay of $22–$25 per hour. The mechanic diagnoses and repairs industrial pumps and rotating equipment, performs maintenance and overhauls, installs and aligns equipment, documents inspections, and supports field service assignments as needed.
What you'll do
- Diagnose mechanical failures
- inspect, disassemble, clean, rebuild, and reassemble pumps
- perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and overhauls
- install, align, and commission pumping equipment
- interpret drawings and manuals
- prepare inspection reports and service records
- recommend repairs and parts
- maintain a safe work area
- communicate with customers, vendors, and team members
- assist with field service assignments as needed.
