Cybersecurity Intern

Cybersecurity Intern is a hybrid role based in Blacksburg, VA, with local residence required. Pay is $15 per hour. Triple Point Security provides cybersecurity services and places interns on client and partner engagements when opportunities arise. The internship gives students hands-on exposure to cybersecurity practices, technologies, and consulting methods. Interns learn through training and mentorship while contributing to projects and developing skills in cloud systems, networking, vulnerability management, and risk frameworks.

What you'll do

• Participate in professional development and technical training
• learn cloud computing, virtualization, networking, firewalls, vulnerability scanning and remediation, cloud architecture, and the NIST Risk Management Framework
• contribute to company projects and, when placed, client or partner engagements
• work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.

Why this role

Open to undergraduate and graduate students from any discipline; prior cybersecurity experience or a cybersecurity/IT major is not required. Part-time commitment is 12–15 hours weekly, with a minimum of 48 hours monthly.
