Classification and Position Management Support

The Classification and Position Management Support role is onsite in Washington, DC, at $48 per hour for up to 754 funded hours. It supports the Office of Human Capital’s Operations Division, Classification and Position Management Branch, which provides classification and position-management services and advice across the agency. The enrollee provides analytical and drafting support for the branch’s workload. The work helps federal classifiers review position duties and prepare consistent recommendations, while final classification determinations remain with a federal classifier.

What you'll do

• Gather desk-audit information, review documents, and prepare structured-interview notes
• analyze position duties against OPM standards
• draft recommended series, title, and grade evaluations for federal classifier review and signature
• prepare draft evaluation statements and recommended corrections
• support consistency reviews across positions.
