Vietnamese Medical Interpreter

Job overview

The Vietnamese Medical Interpreter role is onsite at various client sites on O‘ahu, HI, with work generally requested in one-hour increments Monday through Friday between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Compensation is not specified. The interpreter supports healthcare providers and individuals receiving care through CLOVEHITCH’s client services. The role exists to facilitate accurate, impartial communication about diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, and other healthcare discussions. By maintaining confidentiality and professional interpreter ethics, the interpreter helps all parties understand sensitive medical information.

What you'll do

• Provide accurate, complete, and impartial in-person interpretation between healthcare providers and individuals receiving care
• interpret diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, and general healthcare discussions
• serve as a neutral communication liaison
• follow interpreter ethics, confidentiality, accuracy, and impartiality requirements
• report hours and complete required documentation.

Why this role

Requires working proficiency at ILR 2+ in English and Vietnamese. A T2 Public Trust clearance may be required; prior medical interpretation experience is strongly preferred. Work is at client sites across O‘ahu; no other travel is required.
