What you'll do

• Perform layout work on rough and finished-machined parts
• set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools
• monitor concurrent machine operations
• work to tolerances using prints, specifications, and work instructions
• sharpen, grind, and maintain tools
• perform routine machine maintenance
• maintain a safe and orderly work area
• assist lower-classification machinists
• perform minor part programming or editing at machine controls.
