The Board-Certified Staff Psychiatrist role is onsite at the Madison and Amelia offices in Ohio; compensation is not specified. The psychiatrist supports Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services’ care for the Hamilton and Clermont County community. The psychiatrist evaluates and treats clients through diagnostic assessment, supportive therapy, and medication management, while collaborating with the care team and providing oversight to psychiatric advanced practice registered nurses. This work supports integrated behavioral health services for people experiencing mental illness and addiction.

What you'll do

• Perform psychiatric evaluations, mental-status examinations, diagnostic assessments, supportive therapy, and pharmacological management
• meet with the team about psychiatric or medical emergencies and ongoing treatment
• provide input on and sign Individual Service Plans
• educate staff, families, and participants about illness and treatment
• assess medication needs and monitor treatment
• document care
• complete emergency psychiatric evaluations as needed
• collaborate with and provide supervisory oversight to Psychiatric APRNs.
