The Test Engineer role is onsite at Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex in Montgomery, Alabama. Compensation is not specified. The role exists to plan and execute manual and automated testing so software quality, defects, and security-related evidence are clearly documented. It contributes to reliable releases by developing reusable test scripts, maintaining test cases, coordinating defect resolution with developers, and supplying testing artifacts for Risk Management Framework activities.

What you'll do

• Manage and execute manual and automated functional, regression, security, and performance testing
• provide status to the Government Test Manager
• develop and maintain reusable automated scripts for functional, regression, API, and database testing
• create detailed manual test cases in the approved tool
• manage defect documentation, troubleshooting, and fix verification
• provide testing evidence and reports for Risk Management Framework activities.

Why this role

Requires an active security clearance, a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, five years of similar experience, and DoD 8570 Level II/III certification. Jira and Zephyr experience required; Cypress experience desired.
